Requests a The Golden Hoops Author Visit

Bring The Golden Hoops — and its inspiring message — to your students.

I’m hitting the road with The Golden Hoops (HarperCollins, September 2025) — a joyful story celebrating identity, belonging, and the magic every child carries within.

Through my Golden Hoops Author Visits, your school or program can give students a powerful literacy experience: hearing the story read aloud by me (the author) , engaging in interactive activities, and leaving with their very own signed copy of the book.

What’s Included in Every Visit

  • 30–45 Minute Session — Read-aloud, themed activity, and student Q&A

  • Interactive Reflection Activity — Examples include “What’s in Your Golden Hoop?” or peer-to-peer interviews aligned with social-emotional learning

  • A Signed Copy for Every Student — A lasting reminder of the story and its message

  • Teacher Resources — Discussion prompts and optional extension activities

Why Schools Say Yes

  • Literacy Impact: Students are more engaged when they can connect personally with the author and take the book home.

  • Common Core Aligned: Activities support key English Language Arts standards for K–3rd grade.

  • Social-Emotional Learning: Reinforces identity, belonging, empathy, and community-building.

  • Turnkey Experience: My team handles the structure, materials, and follow-up — no extra fees or logistics for your staff.

💛 All author visit packages include books for each student and are 100% tax deductible through our fiscal sponsor, Zora’s House.

How It Works

  1. Fill out the request form below with your preferred dates, number of participants, and grade levels.

  2. Let us know if your school/organization can fully fund the visit or if you’d like to be considered for a sponsored visit through the Golden Hoops Book Drive.

  3. Our team will confirm details, availability, and book delivery logistics.

Availability is limited and priority is given to schools serving under-resourced communities.
